To control and co-ordinate the day-to-day road linehaul traffic in liaison with ERN, the regional and country organizations. (LOC Nordics & Baltic countries, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) It is the responsibility of LOC to ensure that the linehaul system related to road linehauls and air feeders provides sufficient capacity in the most efficient way as regards to cost and performance.

What you will be doing:

  • Monitor and control all road movements to/from and within the LOC Region.
  • To use buying power to negotiate best prices from subcontractors and all third parties.
  • To co-operate and manage (complex) linehaul problems and incidents, detect and direct effective solutions and see to it that corrective actions are conducted and risks are reduced or eliminated (e.g. strikes, blockades, weather conditions).
  • Ensure that on-time performance is kept at highest possible level.
  • To support and give advise to drivers, subcontractors, colleagues, and other FedEx departments.
  • To control costs for suppliers and services within budget, such as tunnel/ferry charges and road movements.
  • To process data and documents administratively.


What do you bring with you:

  • You have at least an education from secondary school, a higher education related to transport industry are a plus.
  • Timely performance, compliance to deadlines.
  • Requested support given adequately and on time.
  • In depth knowledge of FedEx Road network systems is a plus.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Strong process and co-ordination skills.
  • In depth knowledge of legal requirements regarding transport.
  • To be able to work shift-hours including some weekends and public holidays, it will also include that you will be handling the duty phone on regular basis.
  • PC-skills (software, spreadsheet, database).
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Be able to multitask.
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written). Additional languages are desirable.
  • Good communications skills, verbally and in writing, external and internal.
