Job Description:
As a FedEx Linehaul Supervisor, you play a key role in achieving the hubs’ operational goals and service commitments. Your focus will be on the driver group. You respond to changes in the network to resolve bottlenecks. You work with our international drivers to achieve customer satisfaction through the timely departures within our network, at optimised costs. You will work approximately 40 hours per week, balancing your time between office for administrative tasks and accompanying drivers on the road.

Key responsibilities:
• First point of contact and day-to-day coordination to a team of international drivers.
• First point of contact for escalation to the drivers.
• Motivate and support the team to achieve high levels of performance.
• Recruit new drivers.
• Train new drivers.
• Day-to-day performance monitoring/management and development discussions.
• Ensuring that processes and procedures are completed promptly and consistently.
• Ensuring that team activities are in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Offer guidance to drivers in use of Workday and online learning tools.
• Actively support our Health & Safety, Service, cultural and efficiency goals.
• Track and resolve complex linehaul problems and incidents.
• Monitor corrective measures are being executed to mitigate risks (examples: strikes, driving bans, blockades, safe parking) to ensure highest possible service levels.
• Ensure timely and correct administrative data entry in diverse transport management systems.
• Maintain contact with other LPC’s, RTH’s, drivers and other (internal) stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Recent experience as International Linehaul Driver within LPC NL
• Recent experience in a busy transport and / or dispatch environment.
• Good language skills (Dutch and English oral and written required, other European languages will be considered an advantage).
• Excellent social and communication skills.
• Flexible, discrete, team player, problem solver, hands-on mentality, creative thinker.
• Affinity with and knowledge of transport management systems.
• Knowledge of local laws (transportation, driving times).
• Good Microsoft Office & PC skills.
• Excellent geographical knowledge.
• Focused on result, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Driven to solve problems while using planning and organizing skills.
• Able to communicate and align with different stakeholders.
• Ability to manage own and teams time effectively with attention to detail in a pressurised environment.
