Description
Involves coordinating traffic flows at stations, hubs, and cross dock locations.
General job description
• Interacts daily with Couriers/Sales/Customer Service to coordinate load volumes for domestic services.
• Monitors loading and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Formulates alternate plans as needed to include additional trucks
• Coordinates any delays, overflows, cancellations, and re-routes, to ensure on time arrivals and departures.
• Leads and provides support to cargo handling employees.
• Coordinates and monitors split and routing of freight through interline (passenger airlines), and feeders; to ensure on time arrival of cargo to final destination.
• Completes and maintains updated records of all related paperwork.
• Generates reports regarding levels on operational service metrics (OSM).
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
• College degree preferred.
• Proficiency in oral and written English.
Minimum Experience:
• Two (2) years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
• Customs Certification and/or License.
• Drivers license required.
Minimum Required Skills:
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Analytical ability with basic knowledge of FedEx systems.
• Able to work variable shifts in a 7 day a week, 24 hour operation.
