LM401: Assoc Accountant
Description
To assist, under general supervision, in the installation and maintenance of accounting systems for international locations applying standard principles of accounting and finance and also perform other entry-level accounting duties.
Coordinates the maintenance of various accounting systems and records, as directed. Monitors programs necessary for the analysis of program performance. Ensures compliance with local statutory and corporate accounting, reporting and filing requirements. Administers general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation. Assist local management in preparation of budgets Prepares inter-company analysis for general ledger entry. Maintains fixed asset registers and creditors ledger. Ensures proper administration of tax accounting requirements and the filing of tax returns in a timely basis. Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures (local and corporate) and ensures that internal control systems are maintained in order to safeguard the company's assets and records Prepares accurate accruals and prepayments on a monthly basis. Prepares monthly cash flow forecasts and ensures that sufficient funds are always available to meet the company's liabilities Coordinates activities with the tax authorities, payroll service bureau, local bookkeeping services, auditors, etc., as directed
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent) and two (2) years of accounting experience. Professional certification preferred. Extensive knowledge of generally accepted principles. Computer literate. Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills. Proficient in English.
