Leads the safety efforts for regions through the design, administration and enforcement of safety policies and programs of field operations which includes vehicle, facility, dangerous goods, health, and ramp operations._x000D_

Determines safety requirements and formulates plans and methods to improve the safety of employees in field operations in order to reduce costs, worker injuries, accidents, and property losses. Informs management of status of safety activities taken to resolve identified hazardous operating conditions. Determines areas of recurring vehicle accidents and employee injuries and recommends actions to prevent unsafe operations and conditions by ensuring corrective actions are taken. Collects, reviews, and analyses accident reports and documents and monitors work injuries and vehicle accidents trends with management. Determines the need for safety education of various skilled groups or employees by analysis of operations and review of surveys, accident reports, and plans programs designed to emphasize safe operating procedures. Commands of Labor and Safety Laws of each country ensuring FEC’S compliance. Establishes Safety Committees in all locations with ten or more employees and provides safety training to all new and active employees. Investigates all serious accidents where property damage exceeds US$2,000 and where injuries are involved assist with local country health laws. Conducts safety audits for the ramps, office, and station operations. Serves as representative of the safety office at formal conference for the promotion of safety and the development of safety standards and codes as they relate to international field operations. Reviews with properties plans and modifications to existing facilities to ensure conformance with safety standards and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree/Equivalent. Professional safety recognized certification preferred. Six (6) years professional experience in one or more of the following areas: Vehicle Safety, Dangerous Goods, Industrial and Occupational Safety, Aircraft Ramp Safety, and Fire Prevention. Knowledge of country's safety requirements and regulations. Good investigative, analytical, and communication skills. Fluency in English.
