LM526: Programmer Analyst Senior

Description

Involves completing detailed analysis of complex data, systems or ideas and providing reports and recommendations. May also involve day-to-day data management in company software applications.
Lead or senior levels of these positions may:
• Handle escalated or more complex issues,
• Coordinate team activities or those of agency contract staff,
• Support supervisor or manager activities,
• Support the design, review and implementation of processes and procedure

General Job Description:
Under limited supervision completes the following activities:
• Designs and transform user requirements into an application program for a data processing system.
• Works on highly complex projects and provides technical direction for junior personnel.
• Participates in the total design of major software systems. 
• Gathers user requirements in order to prepare functional specifications.
• Provides technical direction on a) the preparation of functional specifications; b) system test scripts and documentation; c) program and data record specification; and d) test specifications and general documentation.
• Coordinates the coding, debugging, documentation and testing of application programs.
• Supervises the preparation of system flowcharts and logic programs for existing and proposed application programs.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned    

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education:
• Bachelor's Degree/Equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in English (450 TOEIC points).

Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years experience in systems development.

Minimum Required Skills:
• Skills in one or more programming languages used by FedEx.
•  Strong communications skills.
• If position is in mainframe environment, also requires: Systems experience IBM operating systems development or microprocessors.
• IMS experience.
• If position is in a client/server environment also requires experience in systems development and experience with distributed systems.
• Experience using client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools.
