LM56A: Project Engineer
Description
Involves leading high impact strategic projects, regional level or above. To evaluate, design, and implement interfacing with field management, manpower, and systems projects designed to reduce operating expenses, increase revenue, and enhance customer service.
General job description:
• Consults with management in such vital areas as field operations, new service and products, and procedures.
• Develops procedures, prepares, and monitors long range plans for each station and district and provides analysis regarding expansion, new products, procedures, vehicles, equipment, manpower, and facility needs.
• Provides technical assistance to field personnel through workshops, station reviews, seminars, and one-on-one sessions in such areas as operations, manning, IMS, FAMIS, COSMOS, contingency planning, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
• Develops, monitors, analyzes, recommends, and implements/assists with system to improve productivity, and cost performance in all areas of international operations in conjunction with field management.
• Participates in special task force teams and serves on special management committees involving projects related to total corporation productivity and performance.
• Establishes a communication link between the field and properties, providing technical expertise relating to facility requests, including lease termination/new location, five-year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning, and cost justification.
• Assists foreign affiliates where the agreement specifies, with facility searches, evaluations, planning design, and engineering. Also, where specified, supervise and control construction contracts, negotiations, and monitor international airports to ensure corporate needs and standards are met.
• Provides project leadership in corporate and departmental projects impacting customs clearance, systems form, and other projects relating to productivity and performance.
• Plans and coordinates project activities with staff and field management.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or other Engineering field.
• Fluent in English (800 TOEIC points).
Minimum Experience:
• Seven (7) years professional, I.E., or related experience.
Minimum Required Skills:
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and use of statistical tools
• Manage AutoCAD 2D or superior
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools (Ishikawa, Paretos, 5W, histograms, etc.)
