LM643: Technology Services Specialist
Description
Acts as a technical expert on complex and specialist subject(s). Supports management with the analysis, interpretation and application of complex information, contributing to the achievement of divisional and corporate goals. Supports or leads projects by applying area of expertise.
Under general supervision, Provides Remote, On-Site, or Depot Technical Support to Fedex Operations Staff, Fedex Customers, & 3Rd Party Organizations in the Diagnostics, Maintenance, & Support of all Electronic Technologies, Networks, & Software Applications Deployed, Performs Technical Support Problem Resolution & Provides Input to the Isolation & Resolution of Component, Network, Hardware, & Software Problems. Areas of responsibility include: Field IT, Infrastructure, Business Continuity International, Application Development, Application Development International
Skills: Strong Analytical Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Judgement & Decision Making Skills, Influencing & Persuasion Skills, Interpersonal Skills. Knowledge in the use of computer diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of various components of a complex telecommunications network including telecommunications software.
Qualifications: Associates Degree/equivalent required in Business or Computer Science, or related discipline. Fluent in English
Experience: 2+ years experience in technical support; 1 year of experience at FedEx preferred
