Description

"Selects, trains, develops, and motivates a professional staff of three to six Engineers and administers an annual operating budget of one million dollars. Prepares, analyzes, and presents special reports on service, manpower, line-haul, capital equipment, and overall expenses, reflecting current operations as well as future forecasts and projections. Plans and directs expansion of service within South America, including coordinating manpower; developing systems, projects, and programs to optimize service, reduce or control operating expenses, increase revenue, and provide customer satisfaction. Provides strategic link with Region, International, and US Domestic management to ensure that South America’s programs support and are compatible with Corporate strategic planning. Assesses South America’s and Region’s need for operations, service, and product improvements, and develops and implements programs to accomplish those goals. Participates in special task forces or management committees to this end. Ensures ongoing monitoring and enhancement of South America’s service systems and productivity through in-depth operations analysis and program development.

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related quantitative discipline. Master’s degree preferred. Seven (7) years professional experience in industrial engineering in a service industry. Knowledge of FedEx service engineering standards. Strong basic management, human relations, communications, and analytical skills. Fluency in English, Spanish required. "

Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the tactical implementation of international service engineering strategies for the district, the activities of the industrial engineers assigned to the district operations, coordinates operating objectives within each country and the district and integrates the objectives and activities with corporate objectives and plans.
