LR011: Tractor Trailer Driver

Description

To drive tractor-trailer vehicle to designated locations safely and efficiently and in full compliance with Corporate policies and local regulations.

Drives tractor-trailer between designated stations. Maintains truck freight movement within the determined schedule. Picks-up and delivers IP Heavyweight IP (IPFS). Ensures proper security of truck and on-board freight. Maintains daily log in conformance with Corporate Policy. Uses and maintains company vehicle clean and in good operating condition, ensuring it’s properly operated within FedEx corporate and local policies and regulations Pre-inspects the loader, unloader, and tug and tractor trailer. Assist in the sort and load operations as required.

Skills:

Must have good communication skills (written and verbal). Must have basic English skills. Ability to lift up 75lbs and maneuver any package weighing up to 150lbs with proper equipment. Neat and clean cut appearance. Good human relations skills. Ability to operate manual shift vehicle and loading/GSE equipment. Must complete all FedEx related tests and training.

Qualification:

High School Degree/Equivalent. 

Experience:

One (1) year experience of commercial driving. Valid Drivers License with excellent driving record. Must have all driving permits for FedEx vehicle.
