Description

Performs a variety of customer service, administrative, and clerical duties requiring direct and indirect customer interface.

Assists customers by tracing packages, and answering questions regarding FedEx products and services.  Checks packages to ensure proper labeling, legality of content including weight and size proper wrapping, insurance values, special requirements for hazardous material shipments and compliance with Customs documentation required at destination.  Ensures all shipments are properly manifested.  Processes packages in cage for customers.  Answers station’s telephone communications and takes information for pick-ups.  Calls all HAP (Hold at Airport) customers.  Prepares various operations reports.  Maintains and audits records and files as assigned (airwaybills).  Provides administrative and clerical support to Station Ops Manager.  Maintains neat and clean appearance of the workplace, self and uniform.


Education:
High School degree/Equivalent.

Experience:
Previous clerical or customer service experience in a service environment.

Skills: 
Good general office skills required including typing, filing and computer literacy. Excellent communication, organizational and human relations skills. Clear and articulate speaking voice. Clean cut and neat appearance. Ability to successfully complete the Reading, Listening, Sorting and Math sections of the Basic Skills Test.  Ability to lift 70 lbs (32 kgs) and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 lbs. (68 kgs) with appropriate equipment. Spoken and written fluency in local language and demonstrated fluency in English as determined by results of TOEIC exam. Able to work variable shifts. Knowledge of FedEx systems (COSMOS; KIAC) preferred.
