Description
Leads functional teams and works directly with and supports Officers and Directors, up to and including Senior Vice President level, in executing effective Regional strategies, plans and controls. Ensuring optimum profitability and achievement of the immediate and near-term business goals and objectives, Customer Experience KPI’s, whilst minimising associated risks and costs.

What you will do
Acts as a FedEx Leadership role model, to the highest ethical and professional standards. Utilizes PSP and drives cross functional collaboration and engagement to deliver superior results to our shareholders while providing exceptional customer experience. Ensures that own functional teams have the competencies, capabilities and tools to consistently deliver on goals and objectives; develops and motivates individuals and teams, to ensure understanding and achievement of those. Ensures the effective deployment of Company performance management, succession planning and talent management. Prioritises “Safety Above All”, by cultivating a proactive, safety-focused working environment. Empowers team members to create the innovative solutions for our customers.
Identifies effective and achievable goals, leading management teams to communicate them and implements plans to achieve goals. Manages and controls complex and high impact programs and plans, across Sub-Regions and Region. Leads focus on high quality, consistent analysis, forecasting activities and strategic planning within own organisation. Identifies and pursues leverage and improvement opportunities. Ensures own organisation delivers on cross-functional and project dependencies.
Develops and manages processes and metrics to ensure optimal organisational service and financial performance. Leads the development and implementation of tools and processes, within area of expertise, for use by the wider business. Collaborates on improvements to other business processes. Ensures organisational commitment and compliance to company processes and procedures, in order to maximise efficiencies and to protect the Company’s assets and reputation.
Within own functional area, develops and maintains expert knowledge of relevant FedEx standards, external requirements and the internal/external business environment. Builds own and functional teams' capabilities to provide expert advice on complex or unique issues, which often includes exploring and implementing new high impact business opportunities and solutions. Advises Officers on key business critical trends/changes and developments. Leverages functional expertise to drive actions to develop and implement best practice within and across functions.
Proactively identifies and analyses business issues, opportunities, risks and constraints. Develops functional plans that are optimally aligned with the Regional, Divisional and Corporate strategies and goals. Collaborates with and engages all stakeholders, to ensure desired results are realised. Ensures the protection of Company and customer assets, including people, and minimizes risks.
Leads and manages functional initiatives and projects (including business cases, expansion plans, reorganisations, etc.), in order to deliver planned results, within time and budget.
Ensures the achievement of financial and business objectives and goals across the own functional teams. Effectively manages functional budgets and takes appropriate actions to control and reduce costs and optimize investments. Upholds and enforces the Company’s financial standards and policies. Energises and supports programs and initiatives that stimulate and enhance revenue opportunities.
Ensures all functional teams' activities are completed in strict compliance to Company policies, external regulatory legal requirements. Nurtures and maintains a functional culture of openness and respect to ensure compliance issues are discovered, disclosed and addressed.
Builds effective relationships at all levels within and outside of organization in order to achieve optimal business outcomes. Builds and maintains external alignments with customers, relevant subject matter experts, stakeholders and organisations.
Develops strategies and tactics for area of responsibility, within remit. Responsible for mid and long range (annual/2+years) planning and setting forward looking functional teams’ goals.

Frequent business critical contact with all internal and external stakeholders.
You will be a great fit if you have
LLB (Bachelor of Law degree) from a recognized university/law school.
LLM (Master of Law degree) would be good to have.
Extensive work-related skill, knowledge or experience is required.
FedEx Management and/or International experience highly desirable.
Fluent in English, with other local language(s) desirable.
