Description

The Manager People Operations is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the overall business objectives for South India region. This role will lead all HR functions including talent strategy, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, compliance, and organizational culture. The position acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership while ensuring a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.

To provide advice and guidance at regional/divisional level and effectively manage a team of professionals and/or subject matter experts. Responsibilities may include interfacing with Corporate level management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR Operating plans aligned with the HR Strategy
  • Advise business functions on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to leadership on people-related decisions.
  • Develop workforce plans to meet current and future organizational needs
  • Facilitate performance appraisal systems
  • Identify training needs and oversee learning and leadership development programs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
  • Foster a positive work culture that promotes engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Handle employee relations issues, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Drive talent strategies for the business

Qualifications: Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. For Individual Contributors (FedEx employees) AiM certification is mandatory.

Experience: Minimum of 12-18 years of experience in HR or related fields, with at least 5-8 years in strategic HR Partnership role.
