Maintenance Technician III
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining the main controls for the Dematic System to ensure safety and productivity. This role supports product safety, quality, and legality through advanced troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and system optimization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain machinery in the co-pack area to comply with current safety standards.
- Complete all preventive and predictive maintenance on Dematic machinery.
- Assist in the Equipment Validation Process.
- Apply electromechanical and troubleshooting skills with PLC controls, servos, and other discrete electrical control components.
- Connect a PC to a PLC and step through the program to troubleshoot complex control failures and maintenance programs; make minor code changes under Engineering direction.
- Read and interpret prints and schematics.
- Use eMaint for troubleshooting and documenting repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the development and mentoring of department talent.
- Use basic reports to identify and resolve issues.
- Schedule appointments with vendors for facility-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with peers and other department employees.
- Maintain accurate service records in the Qware system.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager and Co-Pack Supervisors.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 4+ years of experience performing mechanical maintenance duties in a manufacturing or packaging environment, or equivalent vocational education and experience.
- Exceptional problem-solving and maintenance skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service driven.
- Strong team player.
