Maintenance Technician I
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining machinery to ensure safety and productivity. This role supports product safety, quality, and legality while performing mechanical maintenance tasks in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain machinery in the co-pack area.
- Maintain machinery in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Ensure the work area complies with current safety standards.
- Understand and assist in the Equipment Validation Process.
- Use eMaint for troubleshooting and documenting repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager and Co-Pack Supervisors.
Preferred Skills:
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network systems, including IP addressing schemes, subnetting, and device connectivity.
- Maintain and support industrial network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, and Ethernet/IP networks).
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime in operations.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems.
- Integrate PLC-controlled equipment with network systems for data communication and process control.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to optimize system performance and reliability.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0--2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, or equivalent vocational education and experience.
- Exceptional problem-solving and maintenance skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service driven.
- Strong team player.
