What you’ll be working on
As District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for a team of field sales specialists. Your remit includes leading sales calls focused on acquiring and retaining customers, managing pre and post sales activities including creating customer and pricing proposals, activating accounts, and monitoring the competition.
Drawing on your people and performance management expertise, you will have the ability to coach, develop and mentor your team members.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Recruits, develops, motivates and manages the team performance
- Provides guidelines support and coaching to ensure team members have the competencies, capabilities and tools to consistently deliver individual and team objectives
- Ensure team awareness of current processes and procedures, and relevant company and regulatory requirements
- Completes audits and reviews of existing processes or documentation
- Investigates anomalies, issues or variance to be addressed and implements corrective actions to create improvements in processes and procedures
- Arranges completion of accurate and timely reporting
- Provides reports, presentations and relevant information to senior management
- Ensure the effective development and use of information or record management systems or reporting practices
- Plans and schedules resources, including rostering to ensure development priorities are completed
- Communicates targets and goals to the team
- Provides updates on progress towards goals for senior management and team
- Evaluates resource requirements to ensure ongoing team capability
- Oversees team projects/initiatives in order to deliver planned results on time and within budget
- Supports team using project management tools and processes to plan, control, and execute various projects / programs
- Continuously seeks to develop and improve effectiveness and efficiency of the team
- Manages department/location budget and takes appropriate actions to optimise costs and remain within agreed parameters
- Ensures team activities are completed on time and effectively, while maintain compliance
- Highlights and acts on areas of significant risk to minimise it

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Sales Management experience
- Ability to build effective networks relationships within own team and with key stakeholders
- B2B international & domestic product sales
- Proven track record in new business sales, account management and customer relationship will be highly regarded.
