Job Description Summary:
- Manages the global deployment, maintenance, and inventory of air cargo screening equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provides technical assistance and serves as a FedEx representative for various TSA committees.
- Manages a team of Security Systems Tech Advisors, engaging with manufacturers on emerging technology, and supporting the development of initiatives to improve cargo screening operations.
Essential Functions:
- Manages the global deployment, maintenance, and inventory of air cargo screening equipment.
- Manages the compliance of all air cargo screening equipment to ensure each item meets regulatory requirements.
- Serves as the FedEx representative for the TSA – Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC), TSA – Requirements and Capabilities Analysis department and the Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) under DHS’ Science and Technology Directorate.
- Supports the development of initiatives to improve the productivity and efficiency the cargo screening operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/equivalent (business, engineering, or other quantitative fields).
Minimum Experience:
- Five years’ experience in aviation and regulatory security, TSA experience, or related fields with an understanding of airline regulatory compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Strong understanding of TSA, or other regulatory bodies, technology standards and technical requirements for air cargo screening equipment.
- IT networking knowledge to support the deployment of equipment.
- FedEx financial experience. Experience with vendor sourcing, contract development and vendor management.
- Experience working with all levels of management.
- Ability to work closely with governmental agencies and industry associates as it related to aviation security.
Job Conditions:
- Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- This position will focus on Physical Access Security and Identity Management. Experience in leading cross functional teams on major initiatives in a global enterprise would be a plus.
Domicile/Work Location:
- This position may be hybrid in Collierville, Tennessee or Coraopolis, Pennsylvania and candidates must live within a 50 mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
