Manager Government Affairs:
Job Description Summary:
Monitors legal and political developments and trends in the federal government and local District of Columbia government. Develops and implements government affairs initiatives, policies, and strategies addressing issues of consequence to the company proactively and in response to the trends/developments identified at the national and local levels.
Essential Functions:

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business administration or political science.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years’ experience in government affairs, governmental processes, law-making processes, political fund raising and/or directly related area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of lobbying, aviation/taxation/telecommunications issues, state and federal political financing laws.
Strong basic management, communication, and human relations skills.
Sr. State/Local Government Affairs Representative:
Job Description Summary:
Monitors developments and trends in state and local governments and to coordinate FedEx Corporation's operating company contacts with government officials. Develops and implements state and local government relations programs, policies and strategies.
Essential Functions:
Monitors state and local government developments, coordinating contacts with government officials, and developing and implementing government relations programs, policies, and strategies.
Performs Other Duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business administration or political science.
Minimum Experience
At least five years’ experience in administration or project management, preferably in public administration, political affairs, or public relations, including two years' legislative experience in aviation, taxation or other regulatory issues at local, state or federal levels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong communications, negotiations, and human relations skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working for an elected official (staff position), Registered Lobbyist, Computer proficiency, This role will support the western region of the U.S.

Actual pay is determined by several job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, including, but not limited to, experience relative to the job, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment.
Pay: $8,649.70 USD Monthly - $17,299.39 USD Monthly
Additional Details: The desired location for this position would be Sacramento, CA. This position may be eligible for relocation. This role will be about 50 percent travel. Position not eligible for sponsorship.
