Essential Functions

About the Role - We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented IT Manager to strategically enhance our software development capabilities. This role involves leading efforts to define robust technical standards, enabling our development teams to achieve peak performance and optimize delivery. You will also play a critical role in refining our application architecture through rigorous technical vetting and analysis. Success hinges on your ability to define and capture key metrics, which will be essential for measuring and driving significant improvements across our software development lifecycle. 


  • Lead the enhancement and continuous optimization of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to achieve measurable results. 
  • Define, document, and enable implementation of comprehensive technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for software development and application architecture. 
  • Enable development teams to maximize their delivery efficiency, quality, and adherence to established SDLC technical standards. 
  • Lead rigorous technical vetting and analysis of application architecture, providing expert guidance and recommendations for refinement and improvement. 
  • Establish, capture, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to continuously measure, monitor, and drive significant improvements in software development processes and outcomes. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices. 
  • Knowledge of software architecture principles, patterns, and design best practices including modern technologies. 
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to software development efficiency, quality, and delivery. 
  • Exceptional Leadership and Team Development Skills: Ability to mentor, coach, motivate, and empower development teams to achieve high performance and optimize delivery. 
  • Strong technical acumen and problem-solving 
  • Proven ability to aggressively pursue and achieve defined outcomes, with a focus on continuous improvement. 
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical), influence stakeholders, and foster strong collaboration. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure and guide teams through complex challenges. 
  • Ability to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices. 


Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, math or directly related quantitative degree or related field.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years systems development experience which includes programming. Skill in one or more programming languages. If position is in mainframe environment, complex systems experience on IBM operating systems or microprocessors required. Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects. IMS experience. If position is in client/server environment, systems development experience to include distributed systems is required. Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools. Experience in the technical design and development of major client/server projects.

Domicile Information:

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.  


Preferred Qualifications:  

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $9,208.38/month - $16,575.08/month
