Description

• To plan, organize, direct and control day-to-day ocean operation activities.
• To ensure optimization of profitability through balancing of revenue, cost and service.
• To manage all other necessary activities which provide optimum service to customers.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES    

  • Select, train, develop, motivate and monitor performance of direct reports
  • Guide and assist operation account teams in following SOP and meeting agreed internal and external KPIs
  • Coach and monitor operation account teams to provide good customer service
  • Support operation account teams in resolving issues
  • Monitor the operation efficiency and seek for improvement opportunities to achieve optimum profitability
  • Monitor performance of service providers
  • Maintain good relationship with customers, carriers, coloaders and other service providers
  • Compile periodic performance report for senior management
  • Other duties as assigned to the position

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE

Academic:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience & knowledge:

  • At least 5 years logistics / freight forwarding experience
  • At least 2 years in management/supervisory position, solid background in all areas of Ocean Freight operations are required
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin
