Location: Plainfield, IN
Shift: 2nd Shift Monday through Friday 3pm-11:30pm with the ability to flex hours to accommodate 3rd shift schedule
General Summary
- Manages at least 2 full time exempt direct reports. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
- Directing the operational aspects of the facility.
- Knowing and evaluating operational productivity goals, monitoring daily and ensuring goals are achieved on all shifts.
- Ensuring/reinforcing the Company teammate culture is being fostered in the facility.
- Assuring the attainment of facility production, quality and safety objectives.
- Reviewing and assuring the accuracy of required production and inventory reports.
- Coordinating and conforming to the operational aspects of the Company's Core Excellence Program and audit regularly to ensure full compliance.
- Planning, monitoring and managing actual performance against operational portions of the budget; this includes, but is not limited to, proper management of departmental staffing levels, overtime and overall operational headcount.
- Leading operational initiatives to ensure inventory accuracy goals are met.
- Ensuring shipment and loading accuracy on all shifts.
- Implementing process improvement programs utilizing Quality Driven Management methodologies.
- Providing assistance to the General Manager on special projects as required.
- Identify and coordinate daily activities of 40-100 team members; inspire your team to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and job knowledge.
- Collaborate across departments to drive optimal productivity; foster an environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
- Ensure performance plans are set, maintained, and continuously improved; generate creative solutions to identify improvements in processes.
- Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or other related operations discipline is preferred. Alternatively, military rank at E-6-7/or O-2-O3.
- A minimum of three years of supervisory experience, preferably in a logistics environment responsible for WMS, QDM, LMS, P&L and talent management.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with ability to lead other leaders.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Experience with Six Sigma or quality management methodologies and/or Green Belt certification preferred.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Previous team building experience preferred.
- Previous budget planning and P/L exposure a plus.
Interpersonal Effectiveness – Have positive and dynamic management style, combined with superior communication skills and high credibility; able to gain followership and attain buy-in from internal stakeholders; capable of successfully navigating a complex organizational matrix.
Results Oriented – Possess a collaborative, yet relentless approach to process improvement and team management in order to achieve best in class results, especially around cost, cycle time/throughput, and customer service.

Pay Range: 65108.00 (Min) - 123538.00 (Max) Yearly
