Provides leadership and oversight of departmental projects and programs. Develops performance indicators to determine the feasibility and benefits of implemented programs. Assesses financial effectiveness of projects.
Essential Functions:
- Plans, coordinates, integrates, tracks, and supports departmental projects and programs.
- Manages a team of Engineering, Intelligence Analysis, Aviation Security and Regulatory Specialists.
- Manages the project management and program leadership in support of new Aviation and Regulatory Security and other corporate projects.
- Promotes collaborative relationships and communications between departments, business owners, internal customers, it, and third-party service providers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Overview:
- We are seeking a dedicated Manager of the Aviation & Regulatory Security Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure the safety, compliance, and operational continuity of aviation facilities and services. The successful candidate will provide enhanced program management leadership, intelligence analysis, Aviation & Regulatory Security related software development management, prioritize risk mitigation and threat assessment, ensure that Air Operations and the FedEx crew force are prepared for threats to their operations, provide comprehensive support and confirm FedEx’s compliance with all applicable regulations for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) inspectors as requested.
- The Aviation & Regulatory Security PMO Manager will ensure a secure, compliant, and resilient aviation environment resulting in organization credibility and stability within the aviation network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides seasoned supervision, direction, and mentorship to direct reports.
- Serves as primary coordinator between Aviation & Regulatory Security and Global Aviation Security Managers located throughout the world, ensuring alignment between all international regions and Aviation & Regulatory Security programs.
- Ensures FedEx compliance with global Pre-Load Advanced Cargo Information (PLACI) programs as required by various governments.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related quantitative discipline.
Minimum Experience:
- Significant experience in program management or project management with demonstrated strong understanding of business and financial planning functions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or preferably a technical/quantitative discipline and at least seven (7) years business experience in an Engineering related discipline, Program Development/Project Management, Industrial Engineering or Transportation Management is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of business and financial planning functions, technical system analysis and strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to work closely with governmental agencies and industry associates as it related to aviation security.
- Demonstrated program and/or people leadership. Must hold, or be able to hold, a secret security clearance.
Job Conditions:
- Moderate travel required.
- Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Work/Domicile Location:
- This position will be onsite in Memphis, Tennessee.
