Job Description: Responsible for account analysis, past due, lag dollar tracking and interaction with other FedEx Enterprise departments regarding pricing activity through oversight and financial analysts. Provide data and interpretation of account results, including statistical and variance analysis and communicate to all levels of management via oral and/or written presentations. Lead in pricing analysis utilizing advanced computer modeling techniques, machine learning/artificial intelligence, predictive modeling, quantitative analytics and applied statistics and database tools. Assist with the coordination of the annual account reviews for FedEx Freight Inc., Canada, and Mexico. Manage input into financial forecasts and the revenue planning process for FedEx Freight Inc. by analyzing historical performance and presenting various scenarios for growth initiative with sustainable profitability using advanced computer models. Provide account planning, analysis and decision-support insight to business partners throughout the organization. Lead and participate in cross-functional process improvement and problem solving teams. Delivers bottom-line impact return on investment (ROI), incremental profit, efficiency improvements, cost reduction using rapid, agile modeling approaches in close collaboration with diverse set of partners. Plan and execute technology migration of existing team processes from SAS and Spotfire to modern Azure and Power BI. Continuously improve and construct new capabilities around performance metric analysis. Coordinate and guide team to perform quantitative analysis of current service guide and recommend changes for new strategic product launch. Maintain and develop systems and processes to support the account review process for both financial and operational needs; automate and simplify redundancies in processes and reporting. Maintain and monitor multiple complex data processes to capture revenue leaks. Coordinate with other teams to update billing to realize the revenue. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. Perform other duties as required. Position supervises 8 employees: 3 Advisor-Operations Research, 1 Senior Advisor- Operations Research, 1 Senior Analyst-Revenue Quality, 1 Senior Advisor - Revenue Quality, 1 Advisor- RQ Science & Analysis, and 1 Senior Advisor- Revenue Quality.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related plus 5 years’ experience in financial analysis, financial planning, business consulting, project management, accounting, or operations analysis / management. Must have experience in each of the following skills: Financial analysis skills including variance analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling; Experience in LTL transportation; Familiarity with pricing process, data, and systems with experience analyzing and reporting, including distilling complex trends and concepts into a storyline and actionable insights to be shared with leadership; Experience in at least five or more of the following programming languages: SAS, SQL, Python, PySpark, Unix, Hadoop, Azure, Oracle, Teradata, Microsoft Excel, or other modern programming languages; Project Management using Agile, QDM, or ABLE; Extensive knowledge in advanced data science/analytics, statistical analysis, Predictive Modeling, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning (AIML) methods; Business Intelligence and Visualization using Power BI, TIBCO Spotfire, or Tableau; and Geographic Analytics using ArcGIS and Alteryx. Remote work allowed 2 days per week, reporting to office in Memphis, TN.
