Manager Solutions, Sales Technology - LTL/Freight
Description
This position manages and leads a team of professionals in support of the ales force and corporate initiatives. FedEx Freight is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, Sales Technology to build and lead our newly established Sales Technology team. This critical leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, management, and optimization of the entire sales technology stack. You will play a pivotal role in empowering our sales organization by providing the tools, processes, and data insights needed to drive efficiency, productivity, and revenue growth. This includes ownership of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Sales Enablement platforms, Incentive Compensation management tools, and other associated sales technologies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a hands-on technical leader, and an excellent collaborator capable of partnering across Sales, IT, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Essential Functions
- Participates in strategic planning, analysis, process/project management development, and sales enablement education.
- Creates and implements customer solutions and/or corporate initiatives using the complete family of company products and technologies available.
- Develops professionals while creating an effective organization in support of company goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Technology Strategy & Roadmap:
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive sales technology strategy and roadmap aligned with FedEx Freight's overall sales objectives and business goals.
- Continuously evaluate the technology landscape to identify opportunities for innovation, improvement, and competitive advantage within the sales tech stack.
- Champion technology initiatives and gain buy-in from key stakeholders across the organization.
Platform Management & Optimization:
- Oversee the administration, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of all sales technology platforms, including CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), Sales Enablement (e.g., Highspot, Showpad), Incentive Compensation Management (e.g., Varicent, SAP Commissions) and related tools (e.g., analytics platforms, prospecting tools).
- Ensure optimal performance, usability, and integration of all systems within the sales tech stack.
- Manage system upgrades, releases, and new feature implementations, minimizing disruption to sales activities.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of sales technology specialists/administrators.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and customer-centric team culture.
- Set clear goals, manage performance, and support the professional development of team members.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all sales technology matters.
- Partner closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, IT, Marketing, Finance, and other departments to understand needs, gather requirements, and ensure technology solutions effectively support business processes.
- Communicate effectively regarding system changes, updates, training, and performance.
Data Management, Reporting & Analytics:
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all sales technology platforms.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs that provide actionable insights into sales performance, technology adoption, and ROI.
- Leverage technology to automate reporting and streamline data access for the sales team.
User Adoption, Training & Support:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive user adoption and proficiency across the sales technology stack.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of training programs and support documentation for sales users.
- Establish processes for ongoing user support and issue resolution.
Vendor Management & Budgeting:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, including contract negotiations, renewals, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee the budget for the sales technology stack, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with strategic priorities.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years professional business experience in project management, sales, education, communications, or quantitative analysis. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven leadership experience.
Strong human relations, negotiating, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent analytical and process/project management skills.
Ability to innovate and produce high quality results on a consistent basis.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: US Pay Range $9,208.38/month - $16,575.08/month. (E29)
Additional Details: The desired location is Memphis, TN, however, this position may be located anywhere within the US excluding AK, HI and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
