Job Description Summary:

  • Plan, organize and direct the development and implementation of tax policies to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local tax laws and regulations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of direct tax for Canadian operations
  • Global oversight of Pillar II processes (financial statement provision & compliance) including monitoring legislative enactments & significant interaction with offshore tax offices.


Essential Functions:

  • Developing solutions for potential tax issues, keeping abreast of new developments in tax legislation, and informing management and team.
  • Select, educate, develop, motivate and lead a team of employees; Support and review efforts to ensure safety performance of people and improve overall morale. Develop and manage department budget.
  • Determine areas of exposure and adapt to challenges in the compliance process
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or related discipline.


Minimum Experience:

  • Five (5) years directly related experience within a tax/financial discipline.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of large service or business operations required.
  • Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A qualified candidate needs to be able to manage a global tax initiative of a constant evolving nature. Preferred skills include strong research & communication skills, project management, and legislation analysis.  Canadian Income Tax, Canadian Direct Tax, Global minimum tax experience, Tax research experience, ability to lead teams, experience in international income tax, transfer pricing and reviewing tax returns would be a plus.  


Domicile / Work Location:

  • The desired location is Collierville, Tennessee, however, this position may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: US Pay Range: $9,208.38 - $16,575.08
