POSITION OVERVIEW:

Leads the delivery, optimization and continuous improvement of technology solutions supporting dock operations, ensuring effective planning, layout utilization and support for seamless freight flow within logistics processes

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Recruit, mentor, develop and evaluate a team of high performing IT leadership and professionals fostering reusability and continuous improvement

2. Oversee the delivery, integration and optimization of dock-related technology platforms to maximize efficiency, layout utilization and real-time operational visibility

3. Partner with business operations leaders to align system capabilities with process requirements, from freight handling and routing to OSD management

4. Ensure technology platforms enable continuity of shipment routing during outages and support effective OSD management processes

5. Lead technology modernization efforts for dock operations, ensuring platforms are updated and aligned with emerging operational and digital capabilities

6. Support vendor relationships, manage system enhancements and resolve operational issues to maintain high system reliability

7. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, logistics, supply chain management, or related field

• Ten (10) years leading technology teams or application portfolios in supply chain or freight operations environments.

• Proven expertise implementing and optimizing dock-related systems for planning, layout, and operational workflow efficiency

• Experience enabling shipment routing continuity, over/short/damage (OSD) management, and operational support during system or process disruptions

• Strong background managing cross-functional technology initiatives in support of operational outcomes

• Strategic leadership skills to align dock technology solutions with operational efficiency and logistics priorities

• Advanced analytical skills to evaluate dock performance metrics and drive continuous improvement through technology

• Strong communication and influencing skills to ensure adoption of dock technology solutions across operations and leadership teams
