Description

This role drives strategic value by managing the entire supplier lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and providing rigorous financial stewardship across our vendor landscape. You will also head a dedicated analytics wing supporting all data technology, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize vendor and D&T organizational performance.

Essential Functions 

  • Accountable for developing roadmaps with our strategic partners to align with our strategies, services, and products and ensure FedEx and partner compliance with our contractual obligations. 
  • Supplier KPIs and roadmap creation to monitor the strategic partner landscape while supporting quality and value realization. 
  • Strategic partner contract management & performance: Ownership of all phases of the contract lifecycle with strategic professional service partners/vendors and continual performance monitoring of strategic partners/vendors against key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure contractual obligations are met. 
  • Direct oversight and management of hardware and software contracts, ensuring optimal licensing, performance, and compliance across the organization. 
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating strategic supplier-related risks to protect the organization’s reputation and assets. 
  • Managing the entire strategic supplier lifecycle, from selection to offboarding, to ensure that suppliers are managed effectively throughout their engagement with the organization. 
  • Accountable for the financial stewardship of strategic partnerships, including budget management, forecasting, and driving cost optimization initiatives. 
  • Leads a dedicated analytics wing that supports all data tech and provides data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making and optimize vendor performance. 
  • Developing and maintaining positive and mutually beneficial relationships with strategic suppliers to enhance customer experience. 
  • Develops and leads a best-in-class D&T Analytics team responsible for the health of the larger data and technology organization.  
  • Maintains a spirit and focus of execution and value creation – drives continuous improvement into process, behaviors, technology refresh/implementation and delivery mechanisms into all aspects of the Strategic Partnerships and data analytics 
  • Empowers the workforce for an AI-driven, digital-first future 
  • Leverage AI thought leadership and AI tooling to design a best in class, efficient organization  
  • Create a compelling vision, clear direction, and strategy for the team leaning into an AI led approach. 
  • Attract, motivate, develop, and retain highly skilled leaders and professionals to drive value creation and execution. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Excellent visual, oral, and written communications skills including developing customer-facing presentations. 
  • Experience with solutions-based thinking. 
  • Experience with AI Native thinking 
  • Experience embedding AI into day-to-day workflows 
  • Experience leading project or program management teams and orchestration of cross-functional team members to achieve goals. 
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost-benefit analysis. 
  • Experience leading data analytics teams or initiatives, specifically supporting data technology frameworks. 
  • Knowledge of hardware and software contract negotiation and licensing models. 
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with a bias to action. 
  • Strong internal customer relationship management skills. 
  • Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously. 
  • Leadership experience in Supplier Management or Audit / Compliance. 
  • Experience driving change initiatives across large, cross-functional organizations.  
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers and meet time sensitive deadlines. 

 

Minimum Education 

A bachelor’s degree in finance, data science, computer science, information technology, or a related field. 


Preferred 

An MBA (Master of Business Administration) or a master’s in information technology, data science, engineering, or finance related field.  


Minimum Experience 

  • 15 years of total experience with 5-8 years in a leadership role.  
  • Experience in managing multi-million-dollar budgets and P&L responsibility.
