Mgr A/C Engineering
Description
Plans, organizes, directs and controls engineering efforts in applicable technical disciplines to develop and implement hardware specifications/ maintenance procedures associated with FedEx fleet and acquisition aircraft.
Essential Functions
- Ensures adequate engineering manpower and focus are directed to aircraft acquisition programs in support of AOD requirements for airlift capacity.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum Experience
Experience requires one of the following:
- Seven (7) years of engineering experience related to the technical discipline described in the subject posting.
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent in other quantitative discipline with fourteen (14) years of engineering experience in the engineering department of a FAR 121 carrier.
- Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in other quantitative discipline with fourteen (14) years aircraft component manufacturer experience plus one (1) year of management experience in the last five (5) years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
Job Conditions
Non-covered safety-sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
