This position manages and leads a team of professionals in support of FedEx enterprise-wide business systems. Responsibilities include: managing complex projects, corporate strategic planning, analysis, process/project management development, system support, lifecycle management/support and creating and implementing the most effective strategies with it and business partners. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, business, supply chain, finance, mathematics or other quantitative discipline such as engineering. Eight (8) years professional business experience in analytical/ quantitative information system activities including application development, support and design and asset lifecycle management. Proven program or project management skills in highly technical areas. An advanced degree may offset related experience requirements. Proven leadership experience. Outstanding human relations, negotiating presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership. Outstanding analytical, process/project management skills. Proven ability to innovate and produce high quality results on a consistent basis.
The Manager, Digital & Data will act as the bridge between business process ownership and technology delivery, ensuring that platforms, data and automation capabilities enable the Source to Pay strategy and deliver measurable business impact.
Key Systems
The role is expected to support and influence the roadmap for key Source to Pay platforms, likely including:
- ServiceNow
- Oracle FCF
- Other connected procurement, contract, supplier and data platforms as required
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of the Source to Pay processes.
- Experience working with enterprise technology platforms and digital transformation programs.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear technology priorities and delivery plans.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly across business and technology teams.
- Experience prioritizing system enhancements and managing technology roadmaps.
- Good understanding of process improvement, automation, data, reporting and AI-enabled opportunities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect system performance to business outcomes.
- Ability to lead a small specialist team and manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Procurement Ecosystem Ownership
- Manage the effectiveness of the digital procurement architecture across the Source to Pay process.
- Ensure technology platforms support global process design, business controls and operational efficiency.
- Identify gaps, overlaps or inefficiencies across systems and recommend improvements.
- Maintain a clear view of how core Source to Pay platforms connect across process, data and user experience.
Technology Roadmap and Business Requirements
- Define and manage the Source to Pay technology roadmap in partnership with Digital & Technology.
- Translate business needs into clear, prioritized system requirements.
- Ensure roadmap decisions are aligned to business value, user experience, compliance, automation and data quality.
- Support business case development for new digital capabilities, enhancements and platform investments.
Enhancement Prioritization and Delivery Alignment
- Prioritize system enhancements based on business benefit, risk reduction, operational impact and strategic alignment.
- Coordinate with IT delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood, sequenced and delivered effectively.
- Act as the business owner for Source to Pay digital requirements through design, build, testing and deployment.
- Track delivery progress, risks, dependencies and benefits realization.
Platform Adoption and Continuous Improvement
- Drive adoption of Source to Pay platforms across business and procurement users.
- Monitor usage, compliance and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with change, training and communications teams to support successful deployment and adoption.
- Use data, benchmarking, process mining and automation insights to continuously improve the digital ecosystem.
Data, AI and Automation Leadership
- Lead the team responsible for AI, benchmarking, process mining and automation opportunities across Source to Pay.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and enhance decision-making through digital tools.
- Support the development of AI and automation use cases aligned to measurable business value.
- Ensure data and digital insights are used to improve process performance, controls and strategic decision-making.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in accounting, finance, business, engineering, information systems or other related business discipline.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years professional experience in management consulting, internal audit, accounting, finance, project/program management, vendor management or information systems with emphasis on analysis/planning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of personal computers, integrated operational, back office or information systems.
Significant project/process management experience.
Proven ability to innovate, develop and produce high quality results on a consistent basis.
Demonstrated strong understanding of business and financial planning functions.
Strong basic management, human relations, analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Memphis range ($9,719.96/mo - $16,523.93/mo), Plano range ($10,231.53/mo - $17,393.61/mo)
Pay Transparency: Salary grade (E29)

Additional Details: This is a hybrid position located in Memphis, TN or Plano, TX. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the campus location. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx campus location several times per week.
