Job Description
You will be leading a team of technical professionals in a time of organizational and technological change. The primary objective is to build, own, and develop products out of Finance’s single source of truth – the Financial Insights Platform. This is a first of its kind financial data lake the unlocks enterprise wide analytical capabilities as well as emerging technical functionality like generative AI.
Prior leadership experience is preferred. Experience in technical product management, EPM systems, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, business and financial acumen, change / transformational management, cross functional collaboration would be considered a plus.
Manages and provides strategic guidance on the conceptualization, planning, design, quality assurance, implementation and support for the financial data systems.
Essential Functions
Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to: hiring, terminations, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, performance management and staff productivity.
Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements procedures and programs as necessary.
Plans and manages department spending against expense budgets.
Stays current and continuously enhances the department’s technological infrastructure by continuously seeking best practices in the industry and ensuring the team remains current on tools and methods.
Builds and leads a high-performing, highly skilled team of advisors, engineers, data scientists, programmers, and analysts to mine, analyze, and wrangle vast data sets and resources (both FedEx and external) for meaningful insights; and serve up information to the business to make more informed, effective, faster, and easier decisions. .
Be a thought leader on anomalies detection and monitoring, data mining and analysis, to uncover trends, draw insights, and extract meaning from large data sets.
Oversee the building of systems, applications, and tools for implementing necessary internal controls continuous monitoring and follow up.
Develops and maintains strategic roadmaps for anomalies detection, oversight, and exception remediation for Settlement systems and other financial support systems as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, accounting, finance, information systems, computer science or other related discipline.
Minimum Experience
Six (6) years of experience across the following areas: development and maintenance of enterprise performance management systems, financial analysis, anomalies detection, application development, data analytics, database management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of financial systems, data analysis processes and data analytics. Must possess strong leadership, human relations, communication and collaboration skills, and planning and organizing abilities.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $8,007.29/month - $14,413.11/month
