Description

Plan, organize and control the input, movement, process/sort, and output of various functions of hub operations. Ensures a high level of service and on-time launch at a minimal cost. Directs all other necessary activities which provide optimum service to FedEx customers.

Essential Functions

  • Directs revenue recovery and audits.
  • Inspects service elements, ensuring efficient manual sort and distribution.
  • Selects, trains, and motivates hourly employees.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School diploma/GED.

 

Minimum Experience

  • One year experience in FedEx supervisory/lead roles, ex. Ramp agent/Ops Lead/Team Lead OR

  • Two years management experience (for external candidates) OR

  • Completion of a certified internal leadership development program, including AiM. OR

  •  Bachelor's degree OR

  • Twelve months general FedEx operations experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.

Job Conditions

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents.
