Description
To Plan, Organize And Control The Launch, Control Room Functions, International Functions Or Offload To Ensure A High Level Of Service And On-Time Launch At A Minimal Cost. Directs All Other Necessary Activities Which Provide Optimum Service To Fedex Express Customers.
Two (2) Years College/Equivalent In Business. Five (5) Years Business Experience, Preferably Including Two (2) Years Related Experience In Transportation Industry. Dangerous Goods: Ability To Successfully Complete Dg Specialist Training And To Interpret Legal Documentation Regarding Hazardous Shipments. Must Successfully Complete W/B Training If Managing Any Trunk Ramp Agents. Strong Basic Management, Human Relations And Communication Skills. Subject To Regulatory Alcohol And Drug Testing Which Includes Testing For Marijuana, Pcp, Amphetamines, Cocaine, And Opiates. If Applicable, Bilingual Communication Skills (French/German/Spanish And English) Preferred.
Minimum Education
High School diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
One year experience in FedEx supervisory/lead roles, ex. Ramp agent/Ops Lead/Team Lead OR
Two years management experience (for external candidates) OR
Completion of a certified internal leadership development program, including AiM. OR
Bachelor's degree OR
Twelve months general FedEx operations experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
Job Conditions
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents.
