POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lead the modernization of our LTL carrier’s commercial software stacking including pricing, rating, quoting, customer data, and revenue-supporting systems. Will partner closely with engineering and architecture to simplify legacy systems, drive cloud-native transformation, and deliver scalable, intuitive applications that support high-volume LTL operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Own the product roadmap for commercial applications with a focus on modernization, simplification, and platform alignment.
2.    Translate complex commercial workflows into clear, technically detailed product requirements.
3.    Partner with engineering to decompose legacy monoliths into modular, API-first, event-driven services.
4.    Support platform capabilities (shared services, integrations, data pipelines, event streaming) used across commercial apps.
5.    Ensure applications meet standards for performance, reliability, security, and observability.
6.    Manage backlog, prioritize technical and functional work, and drive iterative delivery with engineering teams.
7.    Collaborate with pricing, sales, operations, and finance to validate workflows and ensure business fit.
8.    Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
9.    Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field or advanced degree preferred.
•    Five (5) years in product management or technical product ownership for complex application ecosystems.
•    Strong understanding of application architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native approaches.
•    Demonstrated experience modernizing or replacing legacy applications.
•    Ability to write precise technical requirements and integration specs.
•    Effective communicator able to engage engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders.
•    Experience in LTL, freight, or revenue systems (pricing, rating, billing).
•    Familiarity with microservices, event streaming, CI/CD, and modern integration patterns.
