Mgr Ramp Ops/NonDOT
Description
To Supervise The Loading And Offloading Of Aircraft; To Ensure That Safe And Efficient Operations Exist At Fedex Ramp Facilities.
Two (2) Years College/Equivalent. Five (5) Years Business Experience Required Preferably Including Two (2) Years Experience In Ramp Operations. Ability To Lift 75 Lbs. Ability To Maneuver Packages Of Any Weight Above 75 Lbs. With Appropriate Equipment And/Or Assistance From Another Person. Must Successfully Complete Weight And Balance Training If Managing Any Trunk Ramp Agents. Strong Basic Management, Human Relations And Communication Skills. Subject To Regulatory Alcohol And Drug Testing Which Includes Testing For Marijuana, Pcp, Amphetamines, Cocaine, And Opiates.
Minimum Education
High School diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
One year experience in FedEx supervisory/lead roles, ex. Ramp agent/Ops Lead/Team Lead OR
Two years management experience (for external candidates) OR
Completion of a certified internal leadership development program, including AiM. OR
Bachelor's degree OR
Twelve months general FedEx operations experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
Job Conditions
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents.
