Description
The Bid Management Team works with Sales to create high-quality, customer-centric RFP/RFQ responses, proposals, and presentations that help retain and gain new business by focusing on customer needs and clearly demonstrating and quantifying value in FedEx solutions. The person selected in this role will manage a team of professionals who support Sales by completing customer Request for Proposal (RFP) responses and preparing proposals and presentations, specifically for global air freight engagements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Screening Sales’ requests for support on customer RFPs, proposals, and presentations and aligning resources.
Collaborating with internal partners to craft a full air freight bid strategy and address air freight solution gaps.
Ensuring annual team goals for revenue supported and number of engagements are met; ensuring that progress against goals is tracked and reported throughout the year.
Promoting the Bid Management Team’s services to internal Sales partners.
Collaborating with bid professionals across the regions in support of global bids.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have experience in in global logistics/freight forwarding.
Ideal candidates will have experience managing RFP/RFQ processes, evaluating commercial requirements, and shaping bid strategy.
Proven ability to assess customer needs, translate them into solutions, and collaborate on defining product strategy.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years professional business experience in project management, sales, education, communications, or quantitative analysis. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven leadership experience.
Strong human relations, negotiating, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent analytical and process/project management skills.
Ability to innovate and produce high quality results on a consistent basis.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: FEC_E29 Memphis- $9,719.96 - $16,523.93/mo. Plano/Dallas - $10,231.53 - $17,393.61/mo. Pittsburgh - $10,231.53 - $17,393.61/mo.
Additional Details: Purple Flex Hybrid. This position will be hybrid. Employees may be required to work at a FedEx office location several times per week.
