Mgr Station Ops/CDL
Description
Job Duties
Plans, organize, direct and control all operations within the service area in a way that provides maximum service to customers while maintaining a cost effective station operation.
Minimum Education
High School diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
Two (2) years of management experience in the last five (5) years OR completion of AiM (internal development program). Experience in a related international service environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of FedEx field operations, features of service, systems, policies and procedures. Familiarity with various local cultures and customs. Successful candidate will be required to obtain a CDL Class B license within 3 months of hire.
Job Conditions
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents. Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license for type of vehicle assigned and required endorsement hazardous materials (HME). FMCSA covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of FedEx field operations, features of service, systems, policies and procedures. Strong interpersonal, time management, organizational and communications skills. Basic PC skills, including the use of Microsoft Office software. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
