Mgr Station Ops/DOT
Description
Plans, organizes, directs and controls all operations within the service area of the station in a way that provides maximum service to customers while maintaining a cost effective station operation.

Essential Functions
- Plans, organizes, directs, and controls all operations within the service area, ensuring compliance with corporate personnel policies and procedures.
- Provides station personnel with information regarding benefits and policies.
- Supervises and coordinates all ground operations relating to the operational interface between aircraft and the station.
- Plans delivery routes or selects and negotiates with transportation vendors to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensures that all operational activities comply with internal and external guidelines and regulations, including those governing employee health and safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High School diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
One (1) years of supervisory/management experience in the last five (5) years OR completion of AiM (internal development program).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of FedEx field operations, features of service, systems, policies and procedures. Familiarity with various local cultures and customs.
Job Conditions
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. If necessary, must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents. Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license for type of vehicle assigned and required endorsement hazardous materials (HME). FMCSA covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
