Description

Analyzes existing business system and designs business models and software applications. Develops models and applications based on advanced analytical methods and facilitates communications between Operations Research and end-users. These models and applications will enable informed, data-driven decisions and insights for efficiently running, planning, and transforming the business.

Essential Functions

  • Implements advanced analytical techniques such as mathematical modeling, optimization, statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and simulation to drive industry leading concepts to solve complex business problems
  • Programs and designs the business operational models and software applications
  • Constructs new approaches and methodologies to enhance the business models
  • Manages, manipulates, and visualizes data for new and enhanced business operational models
  • Responsible for performing unit and system testing, including monitoring, and validating test results
  • Writes technical documentation in accordance with business framework
  • Develops ad hoc reports and big data analysis according to management requests
  • Collaborates with business analysts, field personnel, and other departments for problem resolutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Master’s degree/equivalent in computer science, applied mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or related field required. Bachelor's degree with two years related experience satisfies the education requirement.

Minimum Experience

Advanced application (can be through education / coursework) of two or more of the following: Java, SAS, SQL, and/or Python to analyze or design business models and software applications. Advanced application (can be through education / coursework) of two or more commercial optimization, simulation, ML or supply chain modeling engines and languages such as: CPLEX, Gurobi, Xpress, ESRI, Simio, AnyLogic, Tensorflow, Scikit Learn or Supply Chain Guru to analyze business problems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of Operations Research (OR) and Analytics models. Working knowledge of cloud computing in environments such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services. Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI or d3.js

Experience explaining complex and/or confidential information via both verbal and written means. Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver information sessions to groups and /or individuals. Time management and organizational skills necessary to appropriately prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals, and respond to day-to-day functional needs. Experience anticipating and identifying problems and using judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.

Preferred Qualifications: Independently works on analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends, insights, and logical data driven solutions for business problems. Develops analytical models and algorithms which apply data to identify business improvement insights and inform the development of processes and tools. Ensures accuracy and quality of data, including reconciliation from disparate sources.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $6,168.90/month - $18,149.85/month Colorado Pay Range: $6,511.62/month - $13,812.57/month New York Pay Range: $6,511.62/month - $17,393.61/month New York City Pay Range: $8,225.20/month - $18,149.85/month

Additional Details: This position can be remotely domiciled anywhere the U.S.
