Overgoods Agent-1
Description
Works as a member of a team and is trained in all Overgoods warehouse functions, including receiving, sorting, package information acquisition, pulling matches packages, managing inventories, shipping, and callback cage scanning. Required to make decisions on proper classification of incoming inventory to ensure highly-accurate match rates in order to return these items to our customers and protect the customer experience.
Maintains and accounts for all packages/containers placed in inventory and held for the respective time. Creates containers, accurately scans packages and containers to proper locations, clears inventory belts and maintains warehouse cleanliness and organization. Initiates package information acquisition and research of incoming inventory with a thorough 7-point check and images both package description and contents. As these are customer shipments that have already gone missing, failure to accurately research and document these incoming shipments will prevent other departments from successfully matching this shipments with open requests from customers, and thus have a detrimental impact on the customer experience.
Educational Requirements
Post Secondary:
- Canadian High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Minimum number of years required for entry to this job
- 1 year operations, customer service or data entry experience
Other specific mandatory experience requirements
- In the province of Quebec, must be bilingual (English and French).
Other specific mandatory experience requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record
- Must be able to successfully complete Forklift, and other lift equipment certification as required
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training (including completing and maintaining DG certification)
Technical Skill Requirements
Solid knowledge of the following:
- Background in various fields facilitating the identification of a variety of commodities, documents and equipment preferred
- Knowledge of FedEx labelling systems preferred
