Package Recovery Agent
Description
Processes various shipment/material types in a safe and efficient manner through effective handling, sorting, scanning, documentation, packaging, storing, shipping and disposal methods.
Essential Functions
- This is a warehouse job unloading trailers and moving/building pallets and containers containing freight of varying sizes and weight (e.g., furniture, mattresses, tires of all sizes, heavy metals, exercise weights).
- Requires ability to lift 50 lbs. Lifting boxes of 50lbs will be common throughout the day and maneuvering packages greater than 50lbs on belts will be continuous throughout the day.
- Full-time shift; 6:30AM to 3PM.
- All shifts are a Monday thru Friday work week.
- Safety shoes are required to start, no exceptions!
- Denim or khaki pants are most suitable.
- Shorts are allowed but must be knee length.
- Polo/golf style shirts, button-up or t-shirts allowed.
- Effectively communicate verbally in a sensitive manner in noisy operations environment.
- Mandatory overtime is expected during peak periods and/or based on operational need.
- No personal items are allowed in the warehouse area including cell phones, music devices, etc.
- Processes documents by efficiently handling, sorting, scanning, documenting, packaging, storing, shipping, and disposing of various shipment/material types in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Properly documents and maintains files of shipment records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma/GED.
Minimum Experience
General knowledge of computers and the ability to effectively operate warehouse computers and scanning equipment and understand how they relate to the inventory process.
Able to properly handle and process different shipment types based upon contents and labeling. Good organizational and communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Job Conditions
Able to work variable shifts and weekends/holidays.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver items of any weight above 50 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
After applicable training, ability to safely/effectively operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker, reach truck and other types of warehouse and disposal equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: Regulation safety shoes must be worn; Attire: button-up polo/golf style shirts, or non-offensive graphic t-shirts, denim or khaki knee length shorts; All personal items must be stored in provided locker (no exceptions) Warehouse position unloading and stacking pallets of various sizes/weights; Must be able to lift/maneuver 50lbs; Mandatory OT during peak or other operational needs
Pay Transparency: Full-time shift; 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m Monday - Friday
Pay: $19.42 hourly
