Procurement Specialist
Description
Completes sourcing and procurement related assignments, including: program management, sourcing and competitive bidding activities, contract administration, category management support, customer and supplier research and problem resolution, and timely ordering, delivery and inventory management of goods and services to support business operations.
Essential Functions
- Assists with supplier selection and onboarding, including competitive bidding, supplier negotiations and vendor management activities.
- Develops business stakeholder relationships, providing support in navigating procurement process and procedures.
- Actively uses quality tools, participating in activities that identify and implement enhancements to procurement and vendor administration processes, policies and systems.
- Uses appropriate system of records, monitoring, tracking and maintaining overall program, process and systems compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalency in business related field.
Minimum experience
Two (2) years experience in procurement/sourcing. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in working with creating and analyzing processes, managing cross-functional team and large-scale complex projects.

Additional Details: This position will be hybrid, and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius as employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week. Position may be hybrid in Plano, TX or Collierville, TN.
