Product Manager
Description
Come join FEC Product Development with responsibility for enterprise packaging, uniforms, and the FedEx Office Print Marketplace, including associated third-party relationships. This role specifically focuses on product development, program management, and product-level strategy for packaging and uniforms.
For packaging, the role partners with an existing Product Management Principal to execute strategic plans across complimentary, retail, specialty, and healthcare packaging. The role provides product-level leadership, cross-functional coordination, supplier engagement, and monetization support, ensuring assigned packaging categories deliver measurable financial and operational results aligned to enterprise strategy.
For uniforms, the role leads global uniform program execution in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders and a global supplier along with development and maintenance of a product-level strategic plan. This role drives disciplined execution and modernization within a bedrock category while operating within established enterprise governance frameworks.
Essential Job Functions
Category Strategy & Roadmap
Define KPIs, attribution analytics, and performance management frameworks across assigned packaging categories and holistic uniform program.
Develop and maintain product-level roadmaps aligned to enterprise packaging and uniforms.
Build structured, data-supported business cases for transformation initiatives (white vs. kraft, F1R line, AI-predictive ordering, uniform allocation changes, etc).
Translate enterprise direction into executable product plans with defined milestones and measurable outcomes.
Program Ownership (Uniforms)
Manage global uniform program execution, including strategy implementation, financial performance reporting, design coordination, and roadmap management.
Partner with Finance to assess P&L impacts and cost drivers within the uniform portfolio.
Establish and maintain uniform best practices, specifications, and operational guidelines.
Lead approval and execution of uniform changes.
Governance & Process Leadership
Establish and lead uniform council, including agenda development, facilitation, and documentation of decisions.
Own the intake, triage, prioritization, and recommendation development for uniform & packaging requests.
Ensure accuracy, transparency, and consistency in product documentation and decision tracking.
Drive timely execution of approved decisions within assigned categories.
Portfolio & Lifecycle Management
Oversee lifecycle management within assigned categories, including launches, retirements, testing, and quality improvements.
Monitor performance and recommend adjustments based on financial, operational, and customer data.
Escalate portfolio-level risks or cross-category conflicts appropriately.
Financial Analysis & Cost Discipline
Build business cases for material changes (spec shifts, new SKUs, supplier transitions).
Assess financial impacts for packaging council submissions and uniform decisions in partnership with stakeholders and FP&A.
Drive cost savings, vendor efficiency, and monetization initiatives within assigned categories.
Ensure financial assumptions and analyses are accurate and clearly documented.
Cross-Functional & Supplier Leadership
Navigate complex stakeholder environments to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs.
Drive alignment across global partners and regions to implement consistent packaging and uniform specifications.
Influence senior leaders through structured, data-driven recommendations on trade-offs, costs, risks, and benefits.
Innovation & Monetization
Execute commercialization of packaging offerings (retail, fedex.com, for-purchase programs).
Identify and quantify revenue opportunities and cost optimization strategies within assigned scope.
Lead uniform modernization initiatives to improve fit, performance, and cost structure for team members and service providers.
Support broader enterprise innovation initiatives as directed.
Communication & Executive Alignment
Prepare clear, executive-ready briefings, updates, and recommendations.
Represent packaging and uniforms on enterprise work streams and high-visibility initiatives within defined scope.
Deliver structured materials grounded in data and financial analysis.

Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent in product marketing, economics, business, or related field.
Minimum Experience
Three (3) years work experience in functions focused on product management, market analysis or research, or equivalent.
More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. A related Master’s Degree equals two (2) years experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of competitive, market and economic factors affecting product performance and ability to perform fact based data analysis.
Strong communication and presentation skills, quantitative, problem structuring and solving skills.
Strong executive presence and human relations skills.
Strong project management experience.

Pay: Level E26; Memphis, TN range: $6,511.62/mo - $10,744.16/mo; Plano, TX range: $6,854.33/mo - $11,309.65/mo
Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN or Plano, TX and candidates must live within a 50 mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location four (4) times per week.
