Program Management Advisor

To provide technical expertise and support for planning, developing, organizing and coordinating large programs/projects.
Essential Functions
About the Role - The Program Management Advisor will support high-visibility technology programs within Fedex Express Corporation by helping plan, coordinate, and drive execution across cross-functional teams. This person will work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, supporting Agile / SAFe ways of working and stepping into Scrum Master-style responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of deliverables, timelines, communication, risks, and follow-up without needing constant direction.
- Provide program management support for large-scale technology initiatives, including planning, organizing, coordinating, and tracking key deliverables.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across technology, business, product, operations, and leadership groups to ensure alignment and clear communication.
- Support programs and initiatives that cross department and division lines, helping manage dependencies, timelines, risks, and priorities.
- Operate within an Agile / SAFe environment and support Agile ways of working across the team.
- Take ownership of Scrum Master-style responsibilities, including facilitating meetings, tracking progress, removing blockers, and helping teams stay accountable to commitments.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status updates, documentation, dashboards, and reporting materials.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize financial, operational, and performance indicators to support leadership visibility and decision-making.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, processes, methodologies, and tools that may improve program execution or team efficiency.
- Communicate updates, risks, blockers, and action items clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactively identify gaps, delays, or areas needing follow-up and take action without waiting to be asked.
- Provide leadership through influence, accountability, ownership, and strong communication across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong program and project management skills, including planning, organization, tracking, reporting, and execution.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments.
- Ability to step into Scrum Master responsibilities and help teams stay aligned, accountable, and on track.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

- Experience using project management or planning tools.
- Understanding of program management, financial management, performance tracking, and business case development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical background or experience supporting technology teams.
- Ability to understand technical terminology, systems, software development concepts, and technology-related project discussions.
- Experience translating technical information into clear business-facing updates.
- Prior experience in an enterprise technology environment.
- Experience working with senior leadership or high-visibility technology programs.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent in business or related quantitative discipline.
Minimum Experience
Five (5) years exempt experience in project/program management, product development, systems design/development or business /financial planning and analysis. Experience in the use of project management/planning software. Experience in planning major projects including development of project proposals, business cases, schedules, and financial justification.
Domicile Information
This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
