Description

Provides engineering activities for Memphis-corporate, regional sorting facilities and/or sort systems controlled by facilities management.

Essential Functions

• Provides engineering activities for Memphis-corporate, regional sorting facilities and/or sort systems controlled by facilities management.
• Provides these activities shall include maintenance-related equipment engineering, problem analysis/resolution and project management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.

Minimum Experience

Seven (7) years related experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of high volume package sort equipment or other industrial environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of design/ engineering, contract administration, technical project and maintenance techniques of material handling, havoc, and electrical systems.

Strong analytical, human relations and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field Preferred. Strong proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, C++, IBM Maximo Application Suite, or JavaScript. Key qualifications include knowledge software development life cycle (SDLC), experience with database management (SQL), version control (Git), and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
