Project Advisor

This is an interview position.
Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of innovative and replicable solutions in support of FedEx Canada’s strategic initiatives. Demonstrates organizationally recognized
competency in all areas of project development, including opportunity identification and assessment, building and designing solutions, quantification and justification of benefits, launching the most feasible solution, and evaluating the metrics of success. Works independently, closely with FedEx executives to develop strategies that drive core transportation revenue and operational excellence.
This position will focus on the development and improvement of compensation for our Sales team. Duties may include:
- Work with leadership to define strategy and requests/direction
- Gain & apply expertise in systems, data flows, policy & procedures
- Translate business objectives into scalable, measurable compensation plans through modeling and analysis, aligning incentives with key business metrics
- Develop business rules & recommendations, present to sponsors or executives
- Collaborate across teams to create project plans including timeline and resourcing
- Leverage technology to implement new & enhance existing processes
- Lead execution, project managing from start to finish, reporting on progress, tracking actions, etc.
- Institute measurement & evaluation, adjusting & enhancing to optimize effectiveness and internal customer experience
- Create and maintain documentation for audit and other purposes; work with business partners for communicating and explaining to our Sales team
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Business Administration and/or disciplines such as Industrial Engineering
- 5 years of Experience in Project Management, Business Planning, Process/Systems Analysis, and Design.
- Microsoft Word, Excel - Intermediate
- Microsoft PowerPoint – Advanced
- Experience leading cross-departmental projects and/or management - preferred
- Demonstrated experience in reporting and analytics, writing queries & creating automated applications using SQL, scripting languages, & other tools - preferred
- Business acumen and critical thinking
- Oral & written communication proficiency
- Process & systems perspectives: Process Optimization, Data Analysis & Statistical Thinking, Modeling & Simulation, Operations Research, Systems Design, Project Management
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Business Administration
5 years Experience in Project Management, Business Planning, Procedures Analysis and Systems Design.
Microsoft Word, Excel - Intermediate
Microsoft Power Point - Advanced
Writing queries & creating automated applications using SQL & other tools - preferred
Demonstrated experience in reporting and analytics using SQL - preferred
If not EXCEL certified, must successfully complete entire EXCEL program in (1) year from start date in position
