Description

Evaluating, designing, and implementing manpower and systems projects to reduce operating expenses, increase revenues, and enhance customer service.

Essential Functions

• Consulting with management in vital areas such as field operations, customer facility planning, and operational impact
• Developing innovative engineering concepts and initiatives, and participating in studies that convert these concepts into savings for the company and its customers
• Establishing communication between operations and corporate departments, and providing technical expertise related to facility planning, including equipment, layout, GSE planning, technology, and cost justifications
• Leading project teams of various sizes, composed of professional employees from engineering, operations research, and other areas of the corporation
• Participating in special task force teams and serving on special management committees involving projects related to total corporation productivity and performance
• Developing programs and conducting internal training for other engineers, as required
• Monitoring, analyzing, and recommending ways to improve productivity, service, and cost areas of operations in conjunction with management
• Designing and providing technical training to personnel through workshops, seminars, and one-on-one sessions in areas such as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
• Developing procedures for, and preparing and monitoring, each operating area; providing analysis regarding capacity needs, product variances, procedures, GSE, technology, and staffing needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree.

Minimum Experience

Seven (7) years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledge of computer systems.

Analytical and communication skills.

Job Conditions
