Description
Evaluate, design and implement, through interface with field management manpower and systems projects designed to reduce operating expenses, increase revenues and enhance customer service.
Essential Functions
- Assists foreign affiliate where the agreement specifies, with facility searches, evaluations, planning design, and engineering.
- Consults with management in such vital areas as field operations, new service and products, and procedures.
- Develops procedures for and prepares and monitors long range plans for each station and district, provides analysis regarding expansion, new products, procedures, vehicles, equipment, manpower and facility needs.
- Develops, monitors, analyzes, recommends, and implements or assists with systems to improve productivity, service and cost performance in all areas of international operations in conjunction with field management.
- Provides project leadership in corporate and departmental projects impacting customs clearance, system form and other projects relating to productivity and performance.
- Provides technical assistance to field personnel through workshops, station reviews, seminars, and one-on-one sessions in such areas as operations, manning, Ims, famis, contingency planning, productivity and cost effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree/equivalent, in industrial engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum Experience
Seven (7) years or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.
Ability to mentor, coach and act as a knowledge resource to other employees.
Knowledge of concepts, practices, regulations, policies and procedures related to field operations.
