Monday - Friday - 1st Shift (Day)

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-2:00PM
Location: Richmond, VA

 

General Summary

This position independently performs quality inspections, product evaluations, and systemic status updates to ensure materials, products, and processes meet established quality, regulatory, and/or customer requirements.  This position applies supplied quality guidelines to make product quality determinations, executed product status changes within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) as instructed, and provides day-to-day support for investigations, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

 

This position has additional responsibility to make product quality determinations and update associated WMS records.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform product inspections and evaluations to determine quality status using approved procedures, specifications, visual aids, and decision matrices.
  • Make product quality damage determinations (e.g., acceptable, restricted, on hold) in accordance with supplied guidelines and escalation criteria.
  • Execute product status updates and inventory dispositions within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) per approved instructions.
  • Accurately document inspections, determinations, and actions in quality records and electronic systems.
  • Identify, investigate, and escalate quality deviations or nonconformances in alignment with established procedures.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions by gathering data, evidence, and observations.
  • Participate in audits, customer inquiries, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience in quality, inspection, warehouse, manufacturing, or regulated operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and apply written quality procedures and decision guidelines.
  • Experience performing inspections and documenting quality activities.
  • Ability to operate with instruction and training appropriate material handling equipment, as required.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse or operational environment, including standing, walking, and lifting as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience making product quality damage determinations or inventory disposition decisions under defined guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to update product or inventory status.
  • Familiarity with regulated environments such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare logistics, or food distribution.
  • Exposure to ISO-based quality systems, GMP, or similar regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience supporting audits, investigations, or corrective action activities.

  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment within defined decision frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, procedures, and quality guidelines accurately.
  • Proficient computer skills, including WMS and quality systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement.
