Rating Associate
Description
Responsible for rating and auditing freight bills, providing price quotes to sales department and customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide timely and accurate information to customers
• Rate/audit freight bills to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer agreements and FedEx tariff
• Provide support to Account Managers regarding account issues
• Apply surcharges according to the last tariff in place
• Process Service Centre corrections to bills
• Communicate with other departments to provide or request information as needed
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
• High School diploma or GED equivalent, required
• One (1) year of related experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the Canada/US LTL transportation rules
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Demonstrated ability to work with high volume of workload while maintaining focus and high accuracy results
• Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical and process analysis skills including strong attention to detail
• Ability / willingness to learn new applications, software, systems, and equipment as required
• Ability to manage competing and changing priorites
• Strong verbal, reading and written communications skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Bilingual (English/French) preferred; required in Quebec
WORKING CONDITIONS
Hours may vary due to operational need
Office environment
Preferred Qualifications: Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:30-19:00
