Regional Design Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Design Manager provides design leadership in alignment with regional real estate, construction, facilities and operations mangers for all new, remodel, and relocation projects within the Development/Real Estate Department. Also, the role provides support for signage programs, special projects, international centers, rollout programs and prototype designs, as required.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop space plans, fixture layouts and manage construction documents for all new, remodel, and relocation projects and special rollout projects with the Development/Real Estate Department
- Develop site specific center designs for all projects through direct interface with Real Estate Mangers, Vice Presidents of Operations, District Managers and Center Managers
- Collaborate with the development team to meet pre-construction, design and construction timelines
- Work with sign vendors and global sourcing in developing site specific sign packages for required approvals
- Manage and train outside design and architect/engineering consultants relative to site specific space plan programs as well as coordination of construction documents and specifications
- Work closely with development team to provide appropriate design services for international center space plans, design packages and construction documents as required
- Provide project status reports on a regular basis through use of internal and web based project management tools
- Work closely with Design Prototype and Standards Manager in the coordination of all new fixture, equipment and finish standards for all projects
- All other duties as needed or required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent experience
- 5+ year experience in retail store design and/or retail architecture, construction documents preparation, finish and material specifications
- Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft software programs
- Experience in managing external architect/engineer consultants
- General understanding of retail real estate process.
- Experience managing design process for high volume of projects

- Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position
